The pure product is red crystal, m.p.182.3 C (industrial product
182~186 C), vapor pressure 13 * 10-3Pa. The solubilities of
chloromethane, cyclohexane, ethanol, chloroform, acetone, benzene,
hexane and water were 37 g/kg, 1.7 g/kg, 0.5 g/kg, 50 g/L, 9.3 g/L,
2.5 g/L, 1 g/L and 1 mg/L respectively. The distribution
coefficient is 150 (12600). The hydrolytic half lives of 248h, pH=5
(34h) (pH=7) and 4H (pH=9) were lower than those of light, heat and
air, and the flammability was lower at 22 C.
Four - pyrazine, an inhibitor of embryo development, the main
killing mite egg, but also has certain effect on the young mites,
and is ineffective against adult mites. The efficacy was slow, the
duration was 50 ~ 60d, and the highest killing effect reached 2~3
weeks after application.
